Well done, Alan — your description of making that Courtenay Place turn set my heart racing. Will he mount the curb?! Will he swing out too far?! Gripping stuff.
Congratulations, Alan. I've been on a few of those services in recent weeks, heading all over town house hunting. It's interesting to learn of the challenges from the perspective of the driver's seat
You should be on $50 an hour. I so admire bus drivers. As a cyclist I know how you dread one of us doing something reckless around your vehicle. I’ve worked with bus drivers as a cycling advocate and I’m in awe of their skills in managing their enormous vehicles and concern about other road users. Thank you Driver.
Appreciate this. Cyclists present a unique challenge to buses. My attitude is to give them as much space as they need and don't drive up their backside. So far so good. Mutual respect. We're lucky in Wellington that more cycle lanes are being built so that cyclists can stay safe.
Plymouth Street to work on the corner of Ghuznee and Taranaki and, later, to Karori Tunnel, change to the #22, off at Pipitea and walk to National Library.
There was always one driver who, once we'd turned out of Plymouth into Messines, would floor it down the hill to Braithwaite, and smirk at all the standing pax flailing around trying to remain standing 😕
Whoop! I always feel so sorry for the drivers who cock up the roundabout by the uni. I do try to hang back and give the bus room there - I had a car pass me one time while I was waiting for the bus to swing around. Grrr! Well done, Alan the Driver!!
Congratulations!

Congrats, Alan! Such a great read. Always knew you’d pass with flying colours. ❤️

Well done that man. The commuting public of Wellington, home of the mighty Hurricanes, are in safe hands
Mighty!

#21 was my route when I lived in Pōneke :)

I know you'd never do that!
Never. Apart from anything, if you go too fast down there you ended up waiting at the tunnel, cos we're not allowed to leave early.
Ka rawe!
I caught a bus a couple of weeks ago from Courtenay Place to Miramar hoping you would be my driver. Congratulations!
Thanks Christine. I'm often doing #18 in the afternoons, but that goes down Ghuznee. IMHO a better route to Miramar. Next time!
Daphne says “when’s the bus trip to Kaitawa?”
Congratulations Alan xoxo

Lovely to see you, twice in one week!
Congratulations, Alan! Well done! ⭐️
Thanks Alan and congratulations!
